Meet the Leadership Board

Robin Blunck, President - Midwestern University

I am a second- year PT student with a background in Marketing and Customer Service. My primary interests at this point in my career are in manual therapy, pelvic health, and community wellness through healthy lifestyle promotion. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend, my dachshunds, hiking, boxing and checking out new restaurants.

Jennifer Chalanycz, Vice President – AT Still University

I am currently a second year physical therapy student at A.T. Still University.  I received my bachelors in Kinesiology from Arizona State University.  Go Devils! During my free time, I like to hangout with friends, go to country concerts, volunteer, and hike.  I am undecided about what specific area I would like to pursue, but am interested in outpatient orthopaedics and pediatrics.

Nikia Fenlin Antioquia, Secretary/ Treasurer – Northern Arizona University

I am an insurance adjuster turned DPT student in my second year at the NAU Phoenix campus.

I am currently interested in care for underserved populations, women’s health, and neuro rehab. However, the sheer variety of PT specialties available ensures that my interests change almost weekly! I’m married with cats, and while I’ve fallen in lo

ve with the wild Arizona storms, my heart (and husband!) are in Seattle. In my free time, I read vociferously, experiment with recipes, and practice martial arts.

Brittany Schenk, Community Service Chair – Midwestern University

I am a second-year PT student at Midwestern University with a background in business administration and marketing.  I have not yet chosen a specialty but am very interested in neuro rehab, burn rehab, and manual therapy.  My husband and I have been married for three years and have four dogs that bring us lots of love, laughter, and copious amounts of fur!  We are also big on traveling and have lived in six states including: Florida, Texas, Nebraska, Colorado, Hawaii, and now Arizona.  When I am not studying I enjoy playing with my pups, hiking, snowboarding, volleyball, anything water related and going to concerts.

Ariana Jones, Social Chair – AT Still University

I am a second year PT student at A.T. Still University. During my first year I was involved by serving as a student ambassador, an activities chair on our student physical therapy association at ATSU and volunteering with several Special Olympics events in the valley. I am very interested in the specialty of Women’s Health but am excited to learn about all of the other amazing things PT can offer in other settings as well. I was fortunate to make many interdisciplinary relationships at ATSU and other schools in the area. I cannot wait to see what the rest of my time as an SPT has in store for me! During my free time I like to run half marathons, lay by the pool soaking up the Arizona sun, play rec softball, drink Starbucks and try to cook.

Abby Duval, Student Conclave Chair – Midwestern University

I just recently started my second year in PT school, and I want to do everything! I currently have an interest in neuro rebab, manual therapy, and working with amputees.  In 2008, I left my job in IT Sales in order to find a more fulfilling career; I am so excited to move forward in something that I have become so passionate about!  When I am not studying, I enjoy running, hiking, drinking coffee, and looking up videos of baby animals.

Kate Schriock, Athletics Chair – Midwestern University

I am a second-

year PT student with an interest in both acute care and orthopedics.  My goal is to eventually be a part of a clinic that combines multiple healthcare fields to give patients education about health, nutrition, and physical activity. I also have a passion for running and gait training. I moved to Arizona from Oregon where I developed a love for exploring the outdoors and tasting refreshing brews.

Daniel Strauss, APTA Core Ambassador – Northern Arizona University

I am a second year at NAU. My main interests include sports and orthopedic therapy, innovations in injury prediction and prevention as well as exploring new ways to integrate care between therapy and other medical professions. I love playing sports (especially soccer), traveling and everything outdoors. But my absolute favorite thing to do is explore with the love of my life, Kate, who I am marrying this August.

Rachel Guinn PTA Relationships Co-Chair – Pima Medical Institute

Rachel is currently enrolled in Pima Medical Institute's PTA program and will be graduating in June of 2017.  Her interest in the physical therapy field was solidified recently when her  husband had a positive experience with physical therapy.  Rachel is an Arizona native.  She shares her home with her husband, Jeremy, and three hairy children, Lucy, Dusty, and Dinah.

Hannah Nagin, PTA Relationships Co-Chair – Pima Medical Institute

As I enter my 3rd semester (out of 5) of PTA school at Pima Medical Institute I could not be more excited about pursuing the career of my dreams! I am enthusiastic about all realms of physical therapy, but I particularly enjoy learning about neuroscience and women’s health. I also should admit my “love affair” for the geriatric population! When I’m not in the library studying you can find me at spin class, doing yoga, cooking, eating sushi, or swimming. I love my essential oils, spending time with family and friends, and watching college sports (bear down!). I believe that PTs and PTAs will have a large impact on the future of healthcare!
