All AzPTA members are invited to attend the Arizona Physical Therapy Association (AzPTA) Leadership Development Workshop. If you have an interest in serving in a leadership role in the AzPTA either now or in the future, please share your unique talents that would be of benefit to our Association and its important work. Along with being an excellent opportunity to further professional development, the Leadership Development Workshop is an invaluable tool for learning more about the AzPTA. Please review the agenda below and you will see that this workshop will consist of a morning educational session by Karen Mueller, Professor of Physical Therapy at Northern Arizona University, followed by updates and discussions from our committees – all of which are performing the essential work of the AzPTA. Lunch will be provided and is a wonderful way for attendees to mingle and catch up with friends and peers. Committee meetings will take place after lunch. While committee members take this time to plan the Association’s 2011 programs and events, the remaining attendees will be free to investigate and attend any or all committee discussions that they find interesting. What a great opportunity for our guests to speak with committee members and chairs, add input, and give feedback! AzPTA Board members, who serve as liaisons to the committees, will also be present to help with questions, introductions, and committee overviews. If joining a committee has ever been on your mind, this is the workshop to attend. Please come and see what you can do for our Association and what our Association can do for you! This workshop is free of charge and continuing competence contact hours will be granted. Please plan to attend this fun and exciting day. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed and will leave the Workshop with renewed enthusiasm for helping your Association to promote the physical therapy profession and the important work we do.
