June 10, 20178:30am - 4:00 pm
Gateway Community College, Phoenix

AZ Pediatric physical therapists have a wide variety of choices for standardized tests and measures. The purpose of this continuing education course is to guide participants in evidence-based decision making for optimal selection, administration, interpretation, and sharing results of pediatric outcome measures. The ICF framework will be used to guide course discussion and content. Knowledge translation strategies will be discussed as a means to support sharing the information with professional colleagues, children, and families. The focus of the course is on collaborating with children and families to determine the goals of physical therapy, identifying child and environmental changes necessary for goal attainment, and selecting appropriate outcome measures to guide clinical decision making.
