Title: Managing Patients with COVID-19 in the Acute Care Setting and Beyond

Presenter: Dr. Carleigh High, PT, DPT

This webinar will outline potential solutions to address the challenges faced by acute care physical therapists in evaluating and treating patients with COVID-19 in the acute care ICU and step down settings. Furthermore, it will discuss outcome measures and long term treatment plans for these patients as they progress in their recovery.

Presenter Bio:
Dr. Carleigh High completed a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Elon University and has been the primary PT for patients with COVID-19 since the outbreak began at Banner University Medical Center Tucson (BUMCT) in March of 2020. Prior to treating patients with COVID-19, Dr. High was the primary Medical ICU PT at BUMCT. Dr. High is also presently involved in the national Age-Friendly Health Systems research initiative and currently serves as chair of the Arizona Early Professional Special Interest Group.
