Clinical Intrigue from Outset to Outcome
Presented by Timothy Fearon PT, DPT, FAAOMPT

Developing examination and treatment from intellectual curiosity to intellectual honesty from the first moment of contact to discharge.

About the Speaker: Dr. Fearon founded Phoenix Manual Therapy and is currently adjunct faculty at A. T. Still University where he teaches manual therapy of the spine and extremities.  He is lead faculty for the University of Montana transitional DPT curriculum. He has been a guest instructor for multiple universities across the country.  He is also lead faculty for Evidence in Motion manual therapy courses, Clinical Decision Making and the Fellowship Virtual Rounds. He has taught manual therapy courses over the last 20 years, spoken at numerous meetings for the APTA, and multiple state chapters of the association. Dr. Fearon currently practices in an outpatient private practice specializing in orthopedic manual therapy and spinal rehabilitation where he has been for the last 30 years.

COVID-19 Neurological Manifestations, Physical and Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Presented by Matthias Linke, DO and Joseph Zachariah, DO

Reviewing the general debility and neurological manifestations of a COVID-19 patient, how it affects physical and pulmonary rehabilitation, and the expected outcome for patients recovering from their illness. We will also review the data within a hospital system for outcomes after COVID-19 treatment and review some case reports of acute inpatient rehabilitation.

About the speakers: Dr. Matthias Linke is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician at Barrow Neurological Institute Neuro-Rehabilitation Center at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. Dr. Linke works on the acute inpatient rehabilitation unit as well as outpatient rehabilitation management. Most recently he was in New York City completing a fellowship in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital where he cared for COVID patients in Manhattan during April and May of 2020 before returning to Phoenix in July 2020. Dr. Joseph Zachariah, DO, Desert Valley Infectious Disease, has been on the front lines since March 2020 of the covid-19 pandemic.  As the head infectious disease physician at Banner Baywood Medical Center, an acute care facility he is a key stakeholder in the Baywood COVID Clinical Group, alongside pulmonologists, nurses, respiratory therapists and other healthcare team members.
