An Update on Serious Spinal Pathologies

This event is hosted by District 4 - All members are welcome to join!

Tuesday, July 27th,  7:00-8:00 pm

Presenter: Seth Peterson, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, FAAOMPT

Lecture Topic: Serious pathology is seen more often in specialty settings. As a result, it's important that physical therapists stay up to date with current recommendations about how best to examine patients who may have serious spinal pathology. Is it still appropriate to use red flags? What tests do we need to begin doing - and which should we stop doing? In this meeting, we'll discuss some of the recent evidence and guidelines that have been released to help the physical therapist in their everyday clinical practice.

Bio: Seth Peterson is a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist (OCS) and Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). He is a full-time clinician and owner of The Motive, a mostly cash-based private practice in Oro Valley, AZ. Seth has over a dozen peer-reviewed publications and has co-authored monographs and textbook chapters on differential diagnosis. In 2020, he was named an Emerging Leader by the APTA. Seth is also the founder of The Movement Brainery and host of the podcast "Masters in Motion."
