Lecture Title: General Supervision and Compliance Review for PTs/PTAs: When to Report Unethical Treatment

Brief Paragraph on Lecture Topic: This course will cover supervision rules, particularly in home health and/or PTA general supervision, delegation decisions from a PT/PTA Team approach, and compliance between the state practice act, insurance regulations, and employer requirements. A brief discussion will also be given on recent updates from the 2021 House of Delegates.

Brief Bio Paragraph on yourself: Kacey is a Physical Therapist Assistant from Gateway's PTA Program with a Bachelor's in Health Science, a Master's of Education in Adult Education, and is certified in LSVT BIG, McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy of the Lumbar Spine, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, and is currently serving the Midwestern University Physical Therapy Institute. She has served as the Arizona PTA Caucus Alternate Representative for the last 2 years and is currently running for the Representative position. Her passion lies in educating PT and PTA students on the profession, and engaging with the APTA to make change for future generations of practicing clinicians as well as the community we serve. She is currently the Arizona Centennial Scholar Recipient and is working to increase PTA membership with APTA to encourage engagement within the association in order to propel us forward in the profession.
