Title: How Nutrition Affects Tissue Healing and Inflammation
Presenter: Kerri Major, HCPC Registered Dietitian (UK), SENr Graduate Sports Dietitian, Qualified Personal Trainer, Author of The Dietitian Kitchen: Nutrition for a Healthy, Strong & Happy You.

Topic: This lecture will discuss the basic nutrition principles on how to build a balanced plate in order to support overall health. We will then discuss the evidence with regards to an anti-inflammatory diet, as well how best to apply the basic nutrition principles in order to support tissue healing.

Presenter Bio: Kerri Major is a Registered Dietitian currently based in Scotland, UK. Her main job role is within the National Health Service, working in the acute hospital setting. She is currently working within stroke and medicine for the elderly but has previously worked in intensive care, surgery, gastroenterology, general medicine, orthopedics and respiratory. Kerri also works part-time as a freelance Sports Dietitian, providing nutritional advice to sports clubs and athletes, as well as a Certified Personal Trainer, supporting individuals to get active and achieve their strength and fitness goals. To help reach the masses, Kerri also runs 'The Dietitian Kitchen' Facebook and Instagram page, and is also a published author of the book 'The Dietitian Kitchen: Nutrition for a Healthy, Strong & Happy You'. The book provides evidenced-based nutrition information to give individuals the knowledge on how to eat well for life, as well as including over 90 delicious recipes and a progressive workout program. Kerri has a passion for both nutrition and exercise and loves combining these two areas to help individuals become their healthiest and happiest selves.
