Pediatric Special Interest Group
The APTAAZ Pediatric Special Interest Group (SIG) was established in 2018 in order to create a community of physical therapists and physical therapy assistants dedicated to serving children in all pediatric settings. Our goal is to encourage life-long learning and collaboration between novice and experienced therapists and to promote pediatric physical therapy in the community
Goals of the APTAAZ Pediatric SIG:
● To provide an opportunity for encouraging and enhancing communication among all pediatric PT/PTA’s
● To provide continuing education in areas of pediatric physical therapy
● To foster best practice in pediatric physical therapy through evidence-based practice
● To increase participation of pediatric PT/PTA’s in the APTAAZ Pediatric SIG, Chapter, and Association
● To represent the interests of AzPedsSIG members before the official decision-making bodies of the Chapter, Association, and other components
